In 1998 Dorna took control of the organization of the CEV (Spanish National Championship) with the aim of developing the youngest motorcycling talents in the world, both Spanish and from abroad, by allowing them to develop their skills and potential in the best possible setting.

The organization of the CEV has obtained international acknowledgement, thus becoming the reference national championship for young riders all over the world who seek to ride in MotoGP.

During the last few years, Spain has been in the foremost position in motorcycling thanks to the innovation in the marketing and promotion systems set by DORNA in relation to the CEV.

The agreement between Dorna and the RFME (Spanish Motorcycling Federation) does not only integrate the organization of the Championship, but it also embodies the exploitation of the commercial and TV rights of the CEV Repsol.
